Minecraft:Narrator's Biome

From SAS Gaming Wiki

Template:Infobox location

During an episode of Minecraft:How We Make Minecraft, Minecraft:Narrator tried to create his own Minecraft:biome. Due to his inexperience, it proved disastrous and unstable, incentivizing Minecraft:Jens Bergensten to explain the process of designing a real one.

Geography

Prior to completion, the biome resembled several temperate regions, such as a Minecraft:plains and Minecraft:forest, with plentiful Minecraft:oak and Minecraft:birch, along with a large Minecraft:river leading into an Minecraft:ocean. After being coopted by Narrator, it began to convert into a wasteland, primarily composed of Minecraft:dirt spires, Minecraft:soul sand, and his own Minecraft:head. In spite of the shown corruption, it still appears to have forested regions, with visible Minecraft:leaf litter and trees with the spires nowhere in sight. Another area of the biome appears mountainous, with the spires retained, but also large Minecraft:wheat patches and Minecraft:cherry trees. A third region resembles a Minecraft:savanna, with Minecraft:acacia and large yellowed grass.

Properties

Before being created, Narrator's biome was established to be a fixed point in the code, irreversible once added to the game. This is shown to manifest with it appearing out of thin air, replacing in-game locations instantly, with assets appearing out of the ground and killing innocent mobs. Unlike other objects in the game, these are shown to have conventional physics, visibly toppling over Minecraft:trees and causing terrain to fly. Due to its unconventional nature, several safety guards are in place while it's being developed, at least two pop-ups appearing before changes were made. Strangely, feedback pop-ups appear to hold more power than those, overwhelming the software and preventing further development, until a third pop-up appeared to remove the biome, in spite of it also saying it'd be irreversible.

Objects within the biome also receive effects, such as Minecraft:beds being replaced by "Narrator Beds," which are beds with Narrator's consciousness inside them. Players are incapable of Template:Control them while it sings. The longer it sings, the more appear to generate. To counteract their spread, Minecraft:ender dragons roam the biome and kill them on sight.

History

The biome was created after Narrator had broken into Minecraft:Mojang Studios and hidden inside of a water cooler. When a developer left to attend a meeting, he hijacked the computer and began programming in his own biome, taking immediate pride in its creation. Its construction proved disastrous, with at least one pig being killed, and the destruction of Minecraft:Ari's house. In spite of being caught in an expulsion, Ari continued to explore this new biome, attempting to craft a bed, and was horrified to see it changed, digging straight down to escape. Even after hiding inside of a dirt hut, Narrator was still able to find Ari, while Minecraft:Efe tried to chop the beds with an axe and grew visibly annoyed.

Fans were incredibly negative as well, referring to the biome as the "Narrator Update," and detesting it on Minecraft:YouCube. Narrator did not take these critiques well, insisting they'd grow to love the place, but ends up tanking the game's reputation in the process. In response, he added the Minecraft:ender dragon to the biome, which destroyed a cottage, and then a Minecraft:potato farm run by Efe. This did nothing to stop the backlash from fans, with one player skipping their own wedding to play it, another growing to hate the concept of computers, and one even entering a coma. Eventually, Narrator gave up, seeing the system fail and become impossible to work with, causing him to begin criticizing Mojang's own design choices. Defeated, he chose to remove it from the game.

"

What?! ...Okay, maybe a race of invasive beds wasn't the best idea. I'll simply add something to defeat them!

Let the challenges choose you, and that you never have a choice when it comes to challenges! That's what I always say.
