The term sediment refers to all the blocks that share names with real-world sediments. The fictitious materials Minecraft:soul sand and Minecraft:soul soil are included because they're named as sand and soil respectively—their actual nature is up to the player's imagination.
Minecraft
- Template:BlockLink – fine sediments; found beneath bodies of water and common in Minecraft:aquifers
- Template:BlockLink – dirt too rocky for plants to grow
- Template:BlockLink – mixed-sized sediments that most plants can grow on; makes up the top layer of most land, above stone
- Template:BlockLink – loose rock chips; found beneath bodies of water, on some shores & mountaintops, and in solitary underground pockets
- Template:BlockLink – wet dirt; found in Minecraft:mangrove swamps
- Template:BlockLink – loose mid-sized sediments; only found in Minecraft:mesas
- Template:BlockLink – dirt overtaken by Minecraft:azalea roots
- Template:BlockLink – loose mid-sized sediments; found on shores and in deserts
- Template:BlockLink – Minecraft:Nether material that can support Minecraft:netherwart, but slows creatures that step in it; burns with a cyan flame
- Template:BlockLink – Minecraft:Nether material that's visually similar to soul sand; burns with a cyan flame
Topsoils
- Template:BlockLink – grass, podzol, or coarse dirt that a path has been worn into
- Template:BlockLink – dirt with grass growing in it; can support most plants
- Template:BlockLink – hand-tilled dirt ready for planting crops in
- Template:BlockLink – clumped dirt and Minecraft:mushroom hyphae; only found on Minecraft:mushroom islands
- Template:BlockLink – the soil of Minecraft:old growth taigas and Minecraft:bamboo jungles; can support Minecraft:mushrooms and some plants
