Minecraft:Sound variant

A sound variant is an alternative set of sounds available for a Minecraft:mob. Sound variants have no impact on other aspects of gameplay, and only affect the sounds a mob will use.

Cat

Minecraft:Cats have two sound variants: "classic" and "royal". Cat sound variants affect their idle, hurt, and death sounds; other sounds are the same between sound variants.

Due to having unique Minecraft:baby sounds, a kitten's sound variant has no effect until it grows up.

Cow

Minecraft:Cows have two sound variants: "classic" and "moody". Cow sound variants affect their idle, hurt, and death sounds; other sounds are the same between sound variants.

Chicken

Minecraft:Chickens have two sound variants: "classic" and "picky". Chicken sound variants affect their idle, hurt, and death sounds; other sounds are the same between sound variants.

Due to having unique Minecraft:baby sounds, a chick's sound variant has no effect until it grows up.

Pig

Minecraft:Pigs have three sound variants: "classic", "big", and "mini". Pig sound variants affect their idle, eating, hurt, and death sounds; other sounds are the same between sound variants.

Due to having unique Minecraft:baby sounds, a baby pig's sound variant has no effect until it grows up.

Wolf

Minecraft:Wolves have seven sound variants: "classic", "angry", "big", "cute", "grumpy", "puglin", and "sad". Wolf sound variants affect most of their sounds; only footsteps, wolf armor, and shaking off water are the same between sound variants.

Due to having unique Minecraft:baby sounds, a puppy's sound variant has no effect until it grows up.
