Summary

Narrator and M.A.R.I.L.L.A. introduce themselves as the hosts of the show, and exchange snarky insults trying to one up eachother. Narrator then talks about why they renamed roses to poppies. He explains that they wanted to add Minecraft:rose bushes, and that its more realistic for roses to grow as bushes opposed to single flowers. He then claims to have personally been in charge of telling roses they were being replaced by poppies, and did so by sending them a farewell card.

M.A.R.I.L.L.A. then talks about how "Minecraft:crystalized honey was accidentally added to a Java snapshot and quickly taken out of the game," pointing out that it was made redundant by Minecraft:honeycomb, and that they "don't want unnecessary items in Minecraft. Just unnecessary co-hosts, apparently," to which Narrator rebuts with how necessary he was since he claimed to be in charge of manually removing the item from every Minecraft world.

They next address the Minecraft:indev house, trying to ask Minecraft:Tiny Jens why it was removed only for him to say that "literally no one cares but you" before wishing them luck on the series. M.A.R.I.L.L.A. speculates that the starter house was removed since it encouraged players to modify the house instead of building their own.

They then address original mob designs, saying they don't always get them right on the first time, using the example that the Minecraft:creeper model was originally a botched Minecraft:pig. They then talk about the Minecraft:phantom being added as a result of Minecraft:MineCon Earth (and becoming the "most beloved mob in Minecraft history", a line M.A.R.I.L.L.A. couldn't say without bursting into laughter). Narrator said that they implemented a phantom design closer to the sketch shown in MineCon Earth, but claimed "the developers worried it looked too much like a sock puppet," leading to the removal of the phantom's mouth and "sock-like look, forever."

Lastly, M.A.R.I.L.L.A said she and Narrator were being cut out from "all Minecraft media" because they couldn't learn to work together." They then get worried, as they were only just made aware by reading the script, and Narrator said he still had to pay off the termites on his indev house. Narrator then convinces M.A.R.I.L.L.A to work with him on the series, before throwing her off a cliff.

Updates That Nearly Broke Us

Template:Infobox video Template:YouTube

Summary

M.A.R.I.L.L.A. and Narrator introduce themselves, with M.A.R.I.L.L.A. claiming she just deleted the Minecraft:Update Aquatic due to her "crippling phobia of Minecraft:kelp." They then mention a point of contention among developers for the update was if Minecraft:dolphins should be "cute and cuddly," or have realistic behaviors, before compromising with having dolphins steal dropped items. Narrator then unsuccessfully attempts to drown M.A.R.I.L.L.A., who is saved by dolphins, before he himself falls into the water.

Next, Narrator says that "one of the toughest parts of the Minecraft:Village & Pillage update was coming up with the name. You haven't lived until you've told your marketing department that you want this year's update to their family-friendly crafting game to have 'pillage' in the title." M.A.R.I.L.L.A. says that "IT TAKES A VILLAGE UPDATE" was also considered, before claiming it should have been named after her.

Narrator then claims that they would have probably made "THE FOREVER ALONE UPDATE" if they realised how difficult implementing cross-platform play was for Template:BE in the Minecraft:Better Together Update. M.A.R.I.L.L.A says that converting Minecraft:Legacy Console Edition worlds to Bedrock Edition worlds was one of the most challenging parts of the update.

The screenshot M.A.R.I.L.L.A. uses to "exclusively" reveal cobblestone will remain in Minecraft.

M.A.R.I.L.L.A. jokes about Minecraft:The Nether Update being timed perfectly given how the year "Template:W went for the human race," but they then mention it was originally delayed in favor of updating the oceans in the Update Aquatic before either update was announced.

They appologize for the Minecraft:Cave Update being split in two, and M.A.R.I.L.L.A. reveals the next update would not remove Minecraft:coblestone from the game, and that Minecraft:Mojang needs time to ensure its quality.

Trivia

  • According to an interview on Minecraft:Minecraft.net, in-universe the show has 2,893,000 episodes, however only nine are able to be released to the public.<ref>Template:Mcnet</ref> In spite of this, the show has eleven episodes, or twelve counting the trailer.
    • Every episode is approximately six minutes long on average. If this applies to these unseen episodes as well, this would mean Narrator and M.A.R.I.L.L.A. have worked on the show for 17,358,000 minutes, or 33.025114155 years.
