Work at CIG

Besides being the social media manager, she also keeps an eye among others on YouTube and the community hub<ref name=":0" />

As part of the community team, she participates in the planning of community events such as contests or events such as sending valentine's day cards to people who were commenting on the Valentine's day post<ref name=":0" />

She pitched the StarCitizen:Mesher dating app for April fools, and the same day Eve Online also released a dating app, which prompted false conspiracy theories.<ref name=":0" />

She started as a social media manager intern in a marketing company agency in Miami. She then worked for other agencies. People thought she was good at it and she kept doing it.<ref name=":0" />

She worked for the anime streaming company HIDIVE for a little while.<ref name=":0" />

Early Life

She's always been a gamer, playing on Nintendo and Sega Genesis in the early 90's. <ref name=":0" />

She never sought to work in the game industry or as social media manager.<ref name=":0" />

She then knew that she wanted to be in marketing as it presented the opportunity to be creative and have fun.<ref name=":0" />

She used the alias Karmat1ka since she started gaming, and chose Galaxt1ka when she joined CIG to separate her personal gaming alias from her professional one, with a space flair. She noticed a Chilean band using the name Karmatika so she started using the 1 so that it would be a handle nobody has.<ref name=":0" />
