2017-12-01	The Kraken was first introduced in the vote "YOU Pick the Next Drake Ship". It came second in the vote to be the next Drake ship by backers with 37% of 37696 voters.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref> It was the first Drake ship that StarCitizen:Gavin Rothery designed for CIG.<ref>"This was the first Drake ship I ever designed for CIG", @GavRov, twitter, Feb 25, 2025</ref>
2025-05-04	The Drake Kraken entered pre-production state, with key areas needing attention being identified by the ship team. Full production is planned for later in the year.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref>
