Magnus worked at his parents' textile company after completing his StarCitizen:Equivalency, helping them overhaul their technical structure and thus generating record profits. His parents supplied the startup funds to officially incorporate microTech in 2782, but he couldn't turn a profit until his former mentor, StarCitizen:Aleena Tressler, offered him valuable advice on employee autonomy.<ref name=":0" />
