Pax Humana is a holiday in the StarCitizen:United Empire of Earth (UEE) held annually on November 8.
History
It originated in the StarCitizen:United Nations of Earth, when on November 8, 2380, representatives of the various armed forces of the world marched from different points of StarCitizen:New York City, converging as one around the StarCitizen:Senate building, in a show of unity and solidarity.<ref name=":0">Around the Verse 3.4 Episode 10 (March 14, 2019), acc. 2021-04-15
</ref> Laurel wreaths were distributed to all the soldiers, who made an oath that is still used today to swear-in new recruits to the armed forces of the UEE.<ref name=":1">Template:Cite RSI</ref> Ironically, less than two weeks later a mutiny of dissident naval crewmen on a warship called the Stanley would kickstart the StarCitizen:Unification War.<ref>Template:Cite Jump Point</ref>
Traditions
Today, it is commemorated by similar marches by the different branches of the armed forces: the Army, Navy, and Marines.<ref name=":0" /> Across the Empire, people celebrate the day volunteering with charities or planning special events, in the spirit of service.<ref name=":1" />
