The UEES Gilchrist was a small corvette-type ship of unknown class that served in the StarCitizen:United Planets of Earth Navy. StarCitizen:Commander StarCitizen:Hester Polaris commanded the ship from approximately 2530-2543, and saw frontline service during the StarCitizen:First Tevarin War. On StarCitizen:August 12 2543, the Gilchrist was ambushed by StarCitizen:Tevarin during routine patrol. The crew were able to repel the boarders while also destroying three Tevarin capital ships and numerous small adversaries.
While the Commander would succumb to her wounds after the battle, the event led to the StarCitizen:Polaris-class corvette being named in her honour in 2946.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref>
The prefix UEES is used in reference to the ship during the First Tevarin War; this is anachronous, as the StarCitizen:United Empire of Earth had not yet formed. The correct prefix would have been UPES.
