StarCitizen:Video Games Tax Relief

The Video Games Tax Relief (VGTR), also known as the UK Games Tax Relief Scheme, is a tax relief incentive designed to support UK-based game developers. It allows qualifying companies to claim a payable cash tax credit on eligible expenditure.

Cloud Imperium UK Ltd is entitled to the VGTR.

Amount

• In 2022, CIG UK received £6,948,322 in tax relief incentive.<ref name=":0" />

Closure

The Video Games Tax Relief will be closed to all productions from 1st April 2027, however [[StarCitizen::Category:Video game companies|video game companies]] may be able to continue to receive relief under the Video Games Expenditure Credit scheme.
