Template:InfoboxNeue Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom is the fourth main game in the Wing Commander series, produced by StarCitizen:Origin Systems and released by Electronic Arts for PC Template:Years or months ago on February 4, 1996 and PlayStation on October 14, 1997.
The first game set after the end of the Terran-Kilrathi War, Wing Commander IV depicts a galaxy in the midst of a chaotic transition, with human civilians, Kilrathi survivors and former soldiers on both sides attempting to restabilize their lives.
The game featured among others StarCitizen:Mark Hamill as Christopher 'Maverick' Blair and John Rhys-Davies as James 'Paladin' Taggart. Whereas StarCitizen:Wing Commander III scenes were filmed on green screen backgrounds, Wing Commander IV used actual sets.<ref>Space Madness!
