Usage

Simply specify the game rule's name as the first parameter:

<syntaxhighlight lang=wikitext> Locator bar can be toggled by Template:Gmr game rule. </syntaxhighlight>

Bedrock Edition game rule

The second parameter can be specified for Bedrock Edition name of the game rule:

<syntaxhighlight lang=wikitext> If Template:Gmr game rule is enabled, player's items are kept upon dying on their next respawn. </syntaxhighlight>

No linking behavior

If a game rule has been linked before using this template, the next usage with the same game rule will not generate the link. This is to prevent over-linking in the article itself (MCW:LINKS). In a place where you want to explicitly link the game rule twice, you can set Template:Cd argument to force linking.
