Dragonwilds:Goblin Raids
More actions
Goblin Raids are random events where players will get attacked if within 30 metres of their respawn point for too long, or whilst the player is above ground in Dragonwilds:Ghornfell.
Base Raids
Base raids begin with players receiving a horn sound and the following message banner, "A warband is attacking your base!". Players will get attacked by five level 1 goblin runts and will destroy nearby constructed items if the player cannot be reached. Note that base raids cannot occur whilst the player is more than 30 metres away from their respawn point. Raids can occur during the day or at night, and can also occur immediately after the player wakes up. However, base raids do not occur if the player does not set their respawn point.
Depending on where players have a bed set, goblin raids can either increase in scale or not happen.
- Brynmoor Region:
- Temple Woods: Power Level 1 Goblin Runts.
- Bramblemead Valley: Power Level 1 Goblin Runts, Power Level 2 Goblin Berserkers, Goblin Archers.
- Ghornfell Region:
- Fractured Plains: Power Level 3 Garou.
- Stormtouched Highlands: Power Level 4 Garou.
- Bloodblight Swamp: Power Level 4 Garou.
- Fellhollow Region:
- Raids do not occur.
Players can kill all five goblin runts, flee, or die to get the warband to stop attacking the base. Upon killing all five runts or fleeing, players will receive the following message banner, "The warband has stopped attacking your base." The grace period following a base raid is 1-2 in-game days before a raid can happen again.
Ghornfell Hunted Events
Hunted events begin with players receiving a horn sound and the message banner, "You are being hunted!" Alternatively, players who wake up in either Brynmoor or Ghornfell will receive the message banner, "Sorry, you're being hunted."
Players will occasionally get hunted by either:
- 3-5 goblin runts whilst in Dragonwilds:Brynmoor
- Dragonwilds:Goblin Warrior, Dragonwilds:Goblin Archer, and a Dragonwilds:Goblin Bruiser (or their Garou counterparts) whilst in Dragonwilds:Ghornfell
- Alternatively, two Goblin Warriors and a Goblin Archer can hunt the player.
Strategy
To safely combat the goblins, players can either jump and/or get behind cover within the objects in-game. Players should use Dragonwilds:Windstep (if available) to jump to a high area with cover and concealment and use Dragonwilds:Ranged/Dragonwilds:Magic attacks. Note that player-built objects can be destroyed by goblins/Garous in this event.
If players do not have suitable armour or weapons, players can flee from the raid until receiving the confirmation message saying the goblins have stopped hunting the player. To avoid goblin archer attacks whilst fleeing, players should run in a zig-zag motion and use the evade action whilst running sideways to roll away from the arrows and magic attacks.
