Dragonwilds:Power level
More actions
Power levels are an indication of how strong a Dragonwilds:player, Dragonwilds:monster, or piece of Dragonwilds:food is. Players can see their current power level at the bottom right of their Dragonwilds:inventory, and power levels for monsters can be seen to the left of their health bar. Each region in Dragonwilds:Ashenfall has a power level, which most of the monsters in that region inherit.
Region Power Levels
| Region | Power level |
|---|---|
| Dragonwilds:Brynmoor | 1 - 2 |
| Dragonwilds:Ghornfell | 3 - 4 |
| Dragonwilds:Fellhollow | 5 |
| Dragonwilds:Dowdun Reach | 6 |
Player Power Levels
The player's power level is directly tied to the Dragonwilds:armour they wear, starting at Power Level 0 while wearing no armour, to Power Level 5 while wearing Tier 5 armour, like [[Dragonwilds::Category:Steel equipment|Steel]]. In the event that the player is wearing armor of differing power levels, they are averaged and rounded down. The power level icon next to an opponent or area title card when the player's power level is far lower, denoting great danger.

Monster hitpoint scaling
A monster's base hitpoints can scale based on the region's power level. This hitpoint value is determined for all monsters in a region when the player enters that region, and the power level icon will change based on the player's average power level, determined by their armour. The formula that calculates the monster's base hitpoints are shown below:
<math>Hitpoints = Region\, Power \, Level\, \times \, Monster's\, Base\, Hitpoints</math>
Power level 1 monsters (e.g., Dragonwilds:chickens, Dragonwilds:kebbits, etc.) do not scale their hitpoints; those are always at their base value, regardless of the region's power level.
