Minecraft:Snowy Mountains

Template:For Template:Unobtainable Template:Removed feature Template:Infobox biome The snowy mountains or ice mountains biome is a hills variant of the Minecraft:snowy plains that no longer generates since Minecraft:Caves & Cliffs: Part II, and was removed in Java Edition.
Description
Old
These hills were no taller than most other hill biomes in the game, despite the name "mountains". As a hills variant, the biome was almost similar to the Minecraft:snowy plains. However, Minecraft:rivers generated inside this biome were not replaced by Minecraft:frozen rivers. No structures generated in this biome, though polar bears, rabbits and strays spawned. Caves frequently generated on the sides of the mountains. Template:IN, no hostile mobs other than strays, skeletons and slimes spawned here.
Current
Template:IN, snowy mountains in older worlds still received updates. When generated through Minecraft:single biome or Minecraft:behavior packs, they can also generate new blocks.
They appear similar to the old snowy mountains, with the difference that Minecraft:zombie horsemen can spawn at night.
With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, snowy mountains use default atmospherics with a strong cold color grading, making the biome appear icy blue. They have cold sunlight, which appears slightly brighter at dusk and dawn.
Mobs
Snowy mountains use the same mob spawning chances as snowy plains.
The following mobs naturally spawn here:
