The StarCitizen:Anvil U4A-3 Terrapin is a deep-space armored scout ship utilized by the StarCitizen:United Empire of Earth Navy (UEEN). Outfitted with sensitive long-range scanners, it is used for long duration reconnaissance and leg patrol missions where crewmembers might need to be separated from support facilities for weeks at a time. Development=

The Terrapin was developed in 2796 to serve as the first ship in the Empire's defensive restructuring of the Navy. It was also the first full production ship that StarCitizen:Anvil Aerospace had fabricated under direct Naval contract. It was developed in an Anvil plant located in StarCitizen:Nova Kyiv, Terra under lead designer StarCitizen:J.Harris Arnold and lead engineer StarCitizen:Allegra Wilsing.<ref name="brochure" />

Naval Assessment=

In 2796, the StarCitizen:UEE ship assessment review team led by Vice Admiral StarCitizen:Galen Whishaw was commanded by the StarCitizen:High Command to assess if the Terrapin should be included in the StarCitizen:UEE military.

Trivia

The ship is named after the species Terrapin which encompass a variety of small turtle species that inhabit freshwater or brackish environments. The term "terrapin" originates from the North American Algonquian word "torope," which specifically referred to the Diamondback terrapin species.<ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrapin</ref>
