History
"I can’t exactly put my finger on it, but something about the sea stretching to the horizon in all directions was calming for me. After I finished my contract on the rig, I immediately told my boss I wanted to stay. Made no difference if she had made me a floorhand. I would’ve taken any assignment she had. Of course, I didn’t tell her that second part.
Ergo was discovered by mining and terraforming corporation StarCitizen:NemoCo in 2364. Following the discovery of its undersea oil fields, NemoCo quickly terraformed and established operations on Ergo.
Oil rigs above empty fields were gradually converted into permanent habitation for workers and word quickly spread of Ergo's tranquility.
Despite the abundance of oil on the planet no fossilized or existing signs of native life have been found leading scientists to speculate that 300 million SEY ago a mass extinction event took place.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref>
