PAX, originally known as Penny Arcade Expo, is a series of gaming culture festivals involving tabletop, arcade, and video gaming.
Cloud Imperium Games has been present at several PAX events, and members of Cloud Imperium Games have also been present regularly unofficially.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref>

While CIG didn’t have an official presence, a CIG community manager who was present unexpectedly found himself on a panel with the Community Manager for Elite: Dangerous, much to the delight of fans in attendance. A free fly was organized to coincide with the event.<ref name=":0" />
