StarCitizen:Daymar

Daymar or Stanton 2b is a natural satellite of StarCitizen:Crusader. It is named after one of the siblings from a tale called StarCitizen:A Gift for Baba. StarCitizen:Darnell Ajay built the first permanent homestead on Daymar in 2906.<ref name="datamine3182-chs">Template:Cite game</ref>

Atmosphere

Daymar has a toxic, non-breathable nitrogen-methane atmosphere with trace amounts of hydrogen. The moon is also subject to extreme temperatures. As such, full environmental protection is an absolute necessity for surface explorers. Dust storms are a frequent occurrence close to the surface, resulting in low-visibility conditions.

A communication station is positioned around the area to help provide comm coverage. Its functionality or lack thereof is determined by gameplay. Comm Arrays were originally placed in orbit of the parent planet, but since Alpha 3.9.0, all planets and moons now contain one CommArray in orbit each.

Trivia

On 2904-03-17, StarCitizen:Meiko Norwood collapsed here while loading soil samples into her ship. She passed away later that day due to complications with an artificial heart valve, making her the first person to die on Daymar.<ref name="datamine3182-chs" />

The StarCitizen:Daymar Rally is an "underground" vehicle race held on Daymar every Standard Earth Year. The race itself consists of hundreds of participants racing, bouncing, shooting, and rushing to be the first to travel 510 kilometers through three separate outposts.

History

During the Daymar Rally 2956, where a group of six pirates took over the finish line and held it against Security Forces, and other scoundrel. The only way they could be defeated was for CIG Mods to kick them from the server and banish them. This is the start of a new terrorist organization and the creation of #JFD6 aka 'Justice For the Daymar Six'. The Race and Game Creators have been working hard to silence this story from getting out. Also earning the race a title change from "The most dangerous race in the verse" to "the safest and most scripted race in the verse"
