11w49a is the third Minecraft:snapshot for Minecraft:Java Edition 1.1, released on December 8, 2011,<ref>Template:Cite</ref> which adds Minecraft:spawn eggs and different Minecraft:languages.

Can now grow onto Minecraft:dirt instead of only Minecraft:farmland.

Mobs

Can now eat Minecraft:grass blocks and Minecraft:short grass to regrow their Minecraft:wool.
As a counterbalance, shearing sheep now yields 1–3 wool instead of 2–4.<ref>Template:Tweet</ref>

Minecraft:Formatting code §k no longer make obfuscated text switch color randomly between Template:Color and Template:Color.

Minecraft:Pause menu

Renamed the "Save and quit to title" button to "Save and Quit to Title".

Fixes

4 bugs fixed

Minecraft:Farmland is no longer destroyed by Minecraft:items and Minecraft:particles.
Corrected a setTileEntity Minecraft:multiplayer bug.
Corrected a Minecraft:powered rail bug.
Corrected a Minecraft:redstone update bug.

Trivia

Minecraft:11w50a is mislabeled as 11w49a.
Pressing Template:Keys allows the player to go into Creative mode without cheats.
