The poisonous potato chestplate is a type of Minecraft:chestplate added in Minecraft:24w14potato.
Obtaining
Usage
The poisonous potato chestplate can be equipped in the second armor slot like any other chestplate. It doesn't provide protection from damage, but instead replenishes the player's Minecraft:hunger bar.
If the player loses a hunger point while the poisonous potato chestplate is equipped, it gets added back immediately, and the chestplate loses 40 points of Minecraft:durability. Because it has 240 points in total, it can replenish Template:Hunger hunger points. Note that the chestplate fills up the hunger bar only to the level that player had when the chestplate was equipped.
The poisonous potato chestplate doesn't inflict player with Poison, despite being made from poisonous potatoes.
Peeling
If the player has the chestplate equipped, another player can peel it Template:Control the Minecraft:potato peeler on them. The chestplate disappears, and a number of Minecraft:potato peels are scattered around the player that was wearing it.

Unit repair
A poisonous potato chestplate can also be repaired in an Minecraft:anvil by adding a Minecraft:poisonous potato plant, restoring 25% the chestplates' maximum durability, rounded down. Two chestplates of the same tier can also be combined in an anvil, with their durability added together plus an extra 12%. Both methods using the anvil preserves the chestplate's Minecraft:enchantments.

Armor trimming
It is possible to upgrade armor with trims. This requires a Minecraft:smithing template, a chestplate, and an ingot or crystal (Minecraft:iron ingot, Minecraft:copper ingot, Minecraft:gold ingot, Minecraft:netherite ingot, Minecraft:emerald, Minecraft:redstone dust, Minecraft:lapis lazuli, Minecraft:amethyst shard, Minecraft:nether quartz, Minecraft:diamond, or Minecraft:amber gem).
These trims have no effect on the gameplay or strength of the armor.
