He is well-known as a host in many Minecraft shows such as Minecraft:Minecraft Now (in some episodes), and especially Minecraft:Minecraft Monthly. And for Minecraft Live, he is known as the Host of the Deep Dig After Show, the voice of Minecraft:Tiny Vu, a miniaturized pixelated doppelgänger of himself featured in several promotional videos for the Mob Vote and such, and for being previously the Biome Vote/Mob Vote Correspondent before the dynamic's cancelation in 2024. He is also one of the producers of Minecraft:A Minecraft Movie alongside Minecraft:Torfi Frans Ólafsson.

Besides his work on Minecraft, Vu has also been the president of the charity group Minecraft:Block by Block since October 2015.<ref name=linkedin/> He shares a YouTube channel about photography with his wife Minecraft:Lydia Winters.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/@LydiaAndVu</ref>

He is known to be of Vietnamese descent and has a brother named Lan Bui through his Instagram and Twitter posts.<ref>Template:Tweet</ref>
