"Skill in living and fighting as a bat.
Overview
The Giant Bat is a Beast Form with the unique ability to fly while effectively fighting enemies, limited only by the flight's power usage.
Bats have a variety of abilities, which range from knock-back, recovery, damage, and a concussion, making it potentially compatible with any skill-set a bat can use.
You can cure Giant Bat form by buying an Un-Bat Juice from Harry the Wolf for 4500 councils. You can cure Fevered Trismus by using Treat Disease 1, a level 15 First Aid ability, which requires a basic first aid kit or better to use.
Training
- Levels 51-60 along with 61-70 can be unlocked by talking to Yavazek.
- Noita the Green unlocks 71-80.
- Levels 81-90 are unlocked by Big Footed Jim deep beneath Povus.
- Levels 81-90 and 91-100 are unlocked by Duke of Flapbule in Statehelm
In-Game Description
Skill in living and fighting as a bat.
How to Obtain
Another bat player (who must be at least level 8) can repeatedly use Virulent Bite on you for a chance to give the Fevered Trismus disease which will change you into a bat after two hours of logged-in real time. During the Halloween event, one may also be bitten by an enemy bat's rage attack for Fevered Trismus. Finally, enemy bats on the lower levels of the Labyrinth or Gazluk Keep dungeons can inflict Fevered Trismus on players.
Happy-Go-Lucky Bat Event
Starting in July 20, 2023, the Happy-Go-Lucky Bat (normally available only during Halloween) was temporarily located right outside of the north gate of Serbule, by the bridge. He will transform players into a Giant Bat (and back) for free, along with offering training for Giant Bat skills.
Ever since then, the Happy-Go-Lucky Bat occasionally appears outside Serbule for a week at a time throughout the year.
This can be used by any character, including newly made ones that just freshly arrived from Anagoge Island
Vampirism
Vampires may complete a quest unlocking the ability to transform into a giant bat and back again at will, similar to how Druids can transform into deer and back again.

Mechanics
NPC Communication
Like with other "creepy" Beast Forms such as the Wolf and Spider, even fewer NPCs will talk to you than to most animals. Additionally, some animals that normally talk to others animals will not talk to the Giant Bat (for example, Red). Before changing into a bat, it is recommended that you be an experienced player. (Unless you're up for a challenge!)
Note: If you were a Druid before becoming a Giant Bat and sufficiently high level (25 or higher) to transform into a deer (or bird), you can use that to interact with the NPCs who will talk to animals, but not bats.
Flight
Immediately after transforming, a bat is able to fly. Flight is faster than sprinting which makes travel easier, however flying drains power.
Default flight controls: R, Page Up, and Number Pad 9 to fly; F, Page Down, and Number Pad 3 to land.
Echolocation
Bats get Echolocation, which sometimes makes seeing at night much easier. They also get Combat Echolocation which comes with a 7% evasion bonus at the cost of 1 movement speed.

Trivia
When using Virulent Bite to infect other players, you can see a red particle effect on the infected player. If you are trying but repeatedly failing to infect another player, it may be because their armor is too strong for you to land a hit. In that case, ask them to unequip their armor and then try again.
