Tailoring/Recipes

Tailoring Mechanics

Ending up with extra textiles

Because multiple Textile Creation recipes create and use odd amounts of fabric (Cotton Thread creates 4 every time, but most recipes using it only require 1), you'll often end up with extra materials while Tailoring. For most equipment recipes, the magic number is 8: every 8 pieces of gear, you'll have no materials left.

Be prepared to grow a lot of cotton! You'll also be carding a lot, making thread and yarn. Higher quality clothes look better, have higher armor level and can be enchanted. Dyeing can also enhance the look of your clothes. Not much difference in appearance between Shoddy and Rough clothes; Decent is definitely a jump in aesthetics. Camouflaged shirt/pants have a different look.

Pocket gears: Only purple and yellow will proc plus 8 pocket gear as a mod, which then allows you to get 28 slots on each piece for the top and skirt.

To do the pocket gear for cloth you add bloodstone at the top as primary and for auxiliary slot you add a rubywall gem. then you craft till you hit purple or yellow to get the plus 8 slot mod.

To get the plus 20 slots with the plus 8 mod you go to tailoring and click where it says add pockets to top or legs, drop the gear in to the slot and you add pockets 10 times, 2 per interaction up to 10 times for the plus 20 pockets.
