Hardened leather offers a sturdier defence that is able to turn away more powerful attacks. Favoured by hunters and rangers, who like the defence it offers without the reduction in mobility that comes with sturdier armour.
Wild Knight hunters would favour this armour when visiting the forests of Dragonwilds:Brynmoor. Hard leather was sturdy and the colours blended more easily with the treeline, allowing them to stalk their prey more stealthily.
For those of Dragonwilds:Amalgamated heritage, the armour was shaped more easily around any inconvenient mutations, and many a ranger would theme their armour to match. Fire-touched Amalgamated were poorly suited to the armour, cooking the leather as they went. But those affected by plant-like mutations enjoyed blending leather and leaf.
