Fallen trees are Minecraft:features that resemble a Minecraft:tree lying on the ground after falling over.
Generation
Fallen trees consist of a single upright Minecraft:log, making the stump, and a log (composed of a row of log blocks) lying on its side, making the trunk. The trunk is often found 1–2 blocks from the stump.
The stump often has Minecraft:vines growing on its sides. 1–2 red or brown Minecraft:mushrooms can sometimes be found growing on the trunk. Fallen poplar trees specifically generate with Minecraft:shelf mushrooms on their trunk instead.Template:Upcoming
Only Minecraft:oak, Minecraft:spruce, Minecraft:birch, tall birch, jungle and Minecraft:poplarTemplate:Upcoming trees can generate as fallen trees.
Fallen trees can be found in all biomes where their standing tree variants grow, except the following:
- Minecraft:Meadow
- Minecraft:Bamboo Jungle
- Minecraft:Bamboo Jungle HillsTemplate:Only
- Minecraft:River
- Minecraft:Grove
- Minecraft:Flower Forest
- Has fallen birch trees but not fallen oak trees.
