Controversial=
The ROC-DS is quite a controversial design according to official media (and player reception). People dislike that it requires a second user to operate the mining laser and another one to drive. Thus resulting in half the efficiency of operating 2 individual StarCitizen:ROC. The second seat also lacks climate control which is cited as an issue by some. StarCitizen:Gale Kessler in StarCitizen:Talkin' Shop is quoted saying "The StarCitizen:Polaris is too pointy! The ROC-DS is shi-".<ref>Star Citizen | Talkin' Shop: IAE 2955 - Roberts Space Industries, Star Citizen, Youtube, 20 november 2025</ref>
""Ah, the StarCitizen:ROC is a solid chassis. So what if the DS is a little, er, challenging?" - StarCitizen:Gale Kessler in StarCitizen:Talkin' Shop<ref>Star Citizen | Talkin’ Shop IAE 2955 - Greycat Industrial & Everything In-Between, Star Citizen, Youtube, 26 november 2025</ref>
