Development

2019-12-08	The ROC was originally announced in StarCitizen:CitizenCon 2019 under the provisional name Vehicle 1. It was said to allow mining, extend the inventory of the players, and fit in the most ships.<ref>YouTube: CitizenCon 2949 - Ship Talk (Min. 38), acc. 2020-06-07</ref>
2020-07-15	It was confirmed to be the ROC when StarCitizen:Star Citizen Alpha 3.10.0 was deployed to the StarCitizen:PTU. The ROC was the first ground mining vehicle developed in StarCitizen:Star Citizen.<ref>3.10 PTU Patch Notes</ref>
2020-08-05	After a lengthy PTU phase, 3.10 was deployed to the Live branch and the ROC was officially revealed on the RSI website and put on sale for $55 USD.<ref name="ROCLaunch"/>
