A bone is an Minecraft:item primarily obtained from Minecraft:skeletons and similar Minecraft:mobs. It can be crafted into Minecraft:bone meal and used to tame wild Minecraft:wolves.

Fishing

Bones can be obtained by Minecraft:fishing, as part of the junk category. The best chance of catching a bone is achieved without the Minecraft:Luck of the Sea enchantment, yielding a 1.1% chance.

Usage

A bone can be crafted into 3 Minecraft:bone meal. Template:Crafting usage

Taming

Using a bone on a wild Minecraft:wolf has a Template:Frac chance of Minecraft:taming it. Bones cannot tame a hostile wolf or a wolf that has already been tamed. However, bones can be used to attract the attention of already tamed wolves.

Helmet

Template:Exclusive While a bone cannot be equipped in the head slot in Minecraft:Survival mode, equipping it compulsorily by using commands causes it to appear in the Minecraft:player's mouth.
