The Garden Awakens is a Minecraft:game drop released on December 3, 2024, as Minecraft:Java Edition 1.21.4 and Minecraft:Bedrock Edition 1.21.50. It focuses on the Minecraft:pale garden, a biome that is home to the Minecraft:creaking alongside Minecraft:pale oak trees and pale moss. The first features of this game drop were revealed at Minecraft:Minecraft Live 2024.
In an official and publicly shared survey about Minecraft Live<ref>Template:Cite</ref><ref>Template:Tweet</ref> and in file names on Minecraft:Minecraft.net,<ref>Template:Mcnet</ref><ref>https://www.minecraft.net/content/dam/minecraftnet/games/minecraft/screenshots/mcv_holiday_eyeblossom-resin_testing_header_1280x768.jpg</ref> the drop was referred to as the Vanilla Holiday Update. During development, it was referred to as the Winter Drop, the name of the corresponding Minecraft:experiment Template:In. The final name and release date of the update were revealed on November 27, 2024.<ref>Template:Mcnet</ref>

- They exist in two variants: closed and open.
- Eyeblossoms transition between the two variants based on the time of day.
- During the night, eyeblossoms become open.
- Will attract Minecraft:bees, however they get Minecraft:poisoned when fed or pollinate the flower itself.
- During the day, they become closed.
- Cannot attract bees.
- During the night, eyeblossoms become open.
- In dimensions that do not have a day/night cycle, they remain in the state they were in before being transported between dimensions.
