Template:Infobox block A wool slab is a craftable Minecraft:slab variant of Minecraft:wool. It can be Minecraft:dyed in all 16 colors.
Obtaining
Breaking
Wool slabs can be broken using any Minecraft:tool, but Minecraft:shears are the fastest.
Crafting
Usage
Template:ForWool slabs come in sixteen colors, which are white, light gray, gray, black, brown, red, orange, yellow, lime, green, cyan, light blue, blue, purple, magenta, and pink. Just like the wool block, the white variant serves as the undyed block. Wool slabs of any color can be re-dyed into any other color, just like Minecraft:wool can be re-dyed.
Wool slabs are easily mined, highly flammable, and offer little resistance against Minecraft:explosions.
Crafting ingredient
Vibration occlusion
Contrary to popular belief, wool slabs cannot be used to block vibrations from reaching nearby sculk sensors. If wool slabs are placed between a sensor and a vibration source, the sensor is somehow still able to detect vibrations behind it. If wool slabs are placed between a sensor and a Minecraft:sculk shrieker, the sensor is able to alert the shrieker. This also applies to allays hearing note blocks and wardens hearing sounds.
If two wool slabs are stacked to make a block, the vibrations can still pass through to the sculk sensor.
Although they don't work for occluding, sculk sensors are not able to detect the placing and breaking of wool slabs, as well as entities Minecraft:walking, Minecraft:sprinting, or Minecraft:jumping on top of it. They are also unable to detect items dropped on wool slabs, or wool slabs itself dropped in item form.
Fuel
Template:IN, wool slabs can be used as fuel in furnaces and their variants, smelting 0.25 items per wool slab, which is 4 wool slabs per item.
