Sword Minecraft:sweep attacks are affected by the Knockback enchantment. The increased knockback from this enchantment stacks with sprint-knockback attacks.

Spear charge attacks done using a spear in the offhandTemplate:Only do not apply Knockback.<ref>Template:Bug</ref> If an attack from a Knockback weapon is blocked by a Minecraft:shield, the knockback effect doesn't apply in Template:JE but does in Template:BE. By use of Minecraft:commands to increase the level of enchantment beyond II, the enchantment has diminishing returns when attacking Minecraft:players but not when attacking Minecraft:mobs. Template:IN, players can hit Minecraft:armor stands back with the Knockback enchantment, but not Template:In. Damage immunity provides immunity to the Knockback enchantment.
