The Veil Flash Hider3 is a barrel attachment from StarCitizen:ArmaMod, part of the Veil series of flash hiders. It is designed to reduce muzzle flash, helping keep the shooter's position hidden once the action begins.<ref name="in-game">Template:Cite game</ref>
The flash hider reduces the visual muzzle flash which occurs when you fire your gun, making it more difficult to locate the source of a round. The result is a gun that doesn’t signal your position visually in exchange for a slight increase in recoil. Flash hiders, also called flash guards or flash cones, function by cooling gases as the ammunition exits the weapon’s barrel.<ref name="jp0711">Template:Cite Jump Point</ref>
