Breaking leaves with a Minecraft:tool enchanted with the Minecraft:Fortune enchantment increases the chances of dropping an apple: 0.556% (Template:Frac) with Fortune I, 0.625% (Template:Frac) with Fortune II, and 0.833% (Template:Frac) with Fortune III.

Apples can be used to heal, grow, and increase temper of Minecraft:horses, Minecraft:donkeys, and Minecraft:mules. Template:IN, due to a bug, Minecraft:skeleton horses (in their hostile state; being ridden by Minecraft:skeletons) can also be fed apples.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>
