Template:Infobox block Nether bricks are the building blocks of Nether fortresses in Minecraft:the Nether.

Obtaining

Breaking

Nether bricks can be mined using any pickaxe. If mined without a pickaxe, they drop nothing. Script error: No such module "breaking row".

Natural generation

Nether bricks form the walls and supporting pillars of all Nether fortresses.

Crafting

Usage

Nether bricks are non-flammable and immune to ghast fireballs, making them a suitable shelter material for the Nether.

If a Nether bricks block is inside the whole bounding box of a Nether fortress (not just inside the individual parts), Nether fortress mobs (such as blazes and wither skeletons) can spawn on it if other normal conditions are met.

Note blocks

Nether bricks can be placed under note blocks to produce "bass drum" sounds.

Sulfur cube

Template:Message box Template:Article other Sulfur cubes have the ability to absorb Nether bricks, either through picking them up or being interacted with them. This provides the regular/football effect to the mob when hitting it.

Trivia

Nether bricks are the only block type to have both a fence and a wall. It is also the only fence type without a corresponding gate.
