Template:Infobox block

A golden dandelion is a Minecraft:craftable Minecraft:flower that can be Template:Ctrl to Minecraft:baby Minecraft:mobs to pause their aging, or resume it by feeding another one to the same baby mob. It does not generate naturally and can only be obtained through Minecraft:crafting or the Minecraft:wandering trader.

Obtaining

Unlike other one-block-tall flowers Template:In, players cannot spread golden dandelions on top of nearby grass blocks by applying Minecraft:bone meal on a golden dandelion.

Breaking

A golden dandelion can be broken instantly with any item or by hand, dropping itself.

A golden dandelion also breaks if Minecraft:water or Minecraft:lava runs over its location, if a Minecraft:piston extends or pushes a block into its location, or if a block under the plant is moved or destroyed. Template:Breaking row

Usage

Like other flowers, golden dandelions can be used as decoration, placed in Minecraft:flower pots, and planted on Minecraft:grass blocks, Minecraft:dirt, Minecraft:coarse dirt, Minecraft:rooted dirt, Minecraft:farmland, Minecraft:podzol, Minecraft:mycelium, Minecraft:moss blocks, Minecraft:pale moss blocks, Minecraft:mud, or Minecraft:muddy mangrove roots. Unlike other flowers however, golden dandelions cannot be Minecraft:composted, and neither attract nor get pollinated by Minecraft:bees.

Baby mobs

A golden dandelion can be Template:Ctrl on a Minecraft:baby mob that normally ages (excluding Minecraft:villagers), which resets and locks its aging time (Template:Convert for most mobs, or Template:Convert for Minecraft:snifflets), prevents it from Minecraft:despawning, and displays downward-moving particles. One cannot be used if the mob has the [[Minecraft:Entity type tag (Java Edition)#cannot_be_age_locked|Template:Cd]] entity tag. The golden dandelion is consumed when used on a mob. If a second golden dandelion is used on the same mob, the mob resumes aging and upward-moving particles are displayed. The golden dandelion has a 2 second use cooldown per mob.

Using a golden dandelion on a baby mob sets the NBT value Template:CdTemplate:Only or Template:CdTemplate:Only to 1. Using it again sets the NBT value back to 0.
