Template:External Template:Otheruses Template:Infobox NPC Harold Death Esquire, better known as Death or the Grim Reaper, is a legendary Template:RSL who is responsible for harvesting the souls of the dead in Dragonwilds:Gielinor. Death is located in the Dragonwilds:Forgotten Temple for the adventurer(s) to assist them in dealing with the undead in Dragonwilds:Fellhollow and Dragonwilds:Imaru. Death offers a reward for assisting him. He'll lead the players to speak with Dragonwilds:Postie Pete before entering Dragonwilds:Fellhollow.

Death's Exchange

Players gain access to a new type of currency in the Fellhollow expansion: Dragonwilds:Soul Fragments. This always drops from the undead monsters inside of Fellhollow and can be used to exchange vestiges from Death within the Dragonwilds:Forgotten Temple. Players will need 6,775 Soul Fragments to buy every item from the shop once, except for the Dragonwilds:Salve Crystal, which can be bought repeatedly upon the completion of Dragonwilds:Seeking Salvation. <tabber> Armour= Template:StoreTableHead Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreTableBottom |-| Trinkets= Template:StoreTableHead Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreTableBottom |-| Capes= Template:StoreTableHead Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreLine Template:StoreTableBottom |-| Miscellaneous= Template:StoreTableHead Template:StoreLine Template:StoreTableBottom </tabber>

History

Harold was one of Gielinor’s earliest inhabitants, a farmer and the first mortal to die upon the world. Following his death, Dragonwilds:Guthix appointed him as Gielinor’s Grim Reaper, entrusting him with the Scythe and robes that grant the power to sever a mortal soul’s connection to its body. As Death, he is accompanied by a skeletal hellhound named Dragonwilds:Muncher. During his long tenure as Grim Reaper, he formed a close association with the Template:RSL god Dragonwilds:Icthlarin, who bears responsibility for guiding and safeguarding souls as they cross the Template:RSL. In the Dragonwilds:Sixth Age, Death arrives in Fellhollow, where he directs the adventurer(s) of Dragonwilds:Ashenfall to confront Imaru and her undead forces.

Trivia

  • Death's appearance is entirely unique and different, compared to Template:RSL and Template:OSL, but still retaining some resemblance to the two games.
    • The resemblances are his robes, having an hourglass symbol as a belt buckle, and his ribs showing, like RuneScape, his scythe and the shoulder pads, like Old School RuneScape.
  • Despite his appearance being different, the art banner from the RuneScape: Dragonwilds website shows him in his RuneScape appearance.
  • Death's attitude here is a bit different from the two game counterparts. When you first meet him here, he makes jokes and puns to lighten up the encounter. While in both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape, he is straightforward and serious.
