Minecraft:Dappled Forest

Template:Planned Template:Infobox biome The dappled forest is a woodland Minecraft:biome consisting of Minecraft:poplar trees with red, orange, and yellow leaves, on an orange-brown grass and coarse dirt soil covered by leaf litter, red shrubs, and Minecraft:brown mushrooms.

Generation

Dappled forests are currently known to replace Minecraft:plains biomes at either positive or negative weirdness, most likely bordering Minecraft:forests. They do not generate at all temperature, continentalness, or erosion areas where plains can generate, but which parameter is unknown.

Description

It is a cold biome and consists of Minecraft:poplar trees and Minecraft:red shrubs, of which the former is prevalent enough to cover the majority of the terrain from the sky. The biome's grass color is a saturated orange. Fallen poplar trees are more common than any other type of fallen trees, featuring Minecraft:shelf mushrooms on them.

Other terrain blocks like Minecraft:coarse dirt, Minecraft:brown mushrooms, and Minecraft:leaf litter generate as part of the surface of dappled forests. Minecraft:Spruce trees generate very sparsely between the poplar forest.

The biome has unique, colder settings for Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals and a gray/green atmosphere, which are subject to change. Volumetric fog seems to be denser.

The exact spawning information of each mob is unknown.

• Dappled forests are inspired by trees seen in the autumn in Michigan, USA, as well as those found in Sweden.<ref>Template:Ytl</ref>
