Revision as of 20:32, 9 April 2026
A jockey refers to a naturally-spawned Minecraft:mob riding another mob. The mob on the top often controls the mob on the bottom in Template:Editions, but sometimes does not control it in Template:Editions.
Most jockeys are named based on the mob being ridden. The exceptions to the "jockey" naming scheme are the skeleton horseman and zombie horseman.
List of jockeys

Removed
- REDIRECT Template:EntityLink; a chicken ridden by a giant.Template:Only
Most jockeys spawn in similar conditions to their respective mobs, except for baby zombie (variant) riders in Template:Editions, which can mount any mob.
Mounting
Script error: No such module "Exclusive".
in Template:Editions, 15% of naturally spawned baby zombies, baby husks, and baby drowned can mount other mobs when spawned. This includes baby zombies summoned by monster spawners and spawn eggs. Such a mob can be summoned with the minecraft:as_baby_jockey Minecraft:spawn event.
The following mobs can be mounted:
Due to a bug, baby zombified piglins jockeys don't spawn properly.<ref>They don't spawn due to Template:Bug, as the

Template:Redr Minecraft:spawn event does not exist. </ref>
Due to another bug, baby zombie villagers cannot mount mobs as jockeys.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>
