Minecraft:Cobbled Deepslate

Template:Infobox block Cobbled deepslate is a stone variant that functions similar to Minecraft:cobblestone or Minecraft:blackstone.

Obtaining

Breaking

Cobbled deepslate can be obtained by mining Minecraft:deepslate using a Minecraft:pickaxe without Minecraft:Silk Touch or by mining cobbled deepslate with any pickaxe. When mined using any other tool, it drops nothing.

Natural generation

Cobbled deepslate generates naturally in Minecraft:ancient cities and Minecraft:trial chambers.

Usage

Cobbled deepslate can be used as a substitute for Minecraft:cobblestone in crafting stone tools, Minecraft:brewing stands, and Minecraft:furnaces as well as to repair stone tools with an Minecraft:anvil. It is also used to craft Minecraft:polished deepslate.

Cobbled deepslate cannot be used for making most blocks that use cobblestone in their recipes, such as Minecraft:dispensers, Minecraft:droppers, and Minecraft:pistons.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>

The quickest way to get derivative blocks such as Minecraft:deepslate tile walls from cobbled deepslate is to use a Minecraft:stonecutter. Using a crafting table requires multiple steps.

Repairing

Cobbled deepslate is one of the repair items for the stone Minecraft:tier and thus can be used to Minecraft:repair the following items in an Minecraft:anvil:

Sulfur cube

Template:In development Minecraft:Sulfur cubes have the ability to absorb cobbled deepslate, either through picking it up or being interacted with it. This provides the regular/football effect to the mob when hitting it.
