Template:In development Template:Infobox biome The sulfur caves is a cave Minecraft:biome composed of Minecraft:sulfur and Minecraft:cinnabar blocks, where Minecraft:sulfur cubes and Minecraft:cave spiders spawn. Minecraft:Sulfur pools with Minecraft:potent sulfur generate here, as well as Minecraft:sulfur spikes.
Generation
Template:Needs update Sulfur caves generate underground at the same depth as Minecraft:lush caves and Minecraft:dripstone caves, although they are much smaller in size and more fragmented. Minecraft:Sulfur springs sometimes generate at the surface, indicating there are sulfur caves below.
The biome generates only at low Minecraft:weirdness values (≤ -0.45). This means that it commonly borders any other cave biome, and above-ground are usually Minecraft:mountains or plateaus, and never generates close to Minecraft:rivers, although it can generate under the Minecraft:ocean. However, if sulfur caves generate at higher erosion, there may also be more middle biomes, Minecraft:desert biomes, and shattered biomes.
Rarely, sulfur caves can generate above ground at weirdness values below -1.0, which occurs inside mountain rings. They can also leak out of cave openings or tall oceanic cliffs.
Description
The main landscape is composed of Minecraft:sulfur and Minecraft:cinnabar, layers in approximately same amount of blocks, with frequent Minecraft:sulfur pools possessing a unique acid-green color of Minecraft:water. Minecraft:Potent sulfur is found only on the bottom of these pools, creating noxious gas with white bubbles particles in and on top of the water. Minecraft:Nausea is inflicted to mobs and players when they come in contact with this noxious gas.
Sulfur spikes in varying patches and sizes generate on top of sulfur. Other terrain blocks such as Minecraft:deepslate and Minecraft:stone variants generate between the sulfur and cinnabar.
Minecraft:Ores rarely generate here, because sulfur and cinnabar replace most stone and deepslate blocks. Template:IN, the sky Minecraft:fog has a unique green color.
When a minecart with chest from a Minecraft:mineshaft spawns in sulfur caves, it has a chance to contain the "Minecraft:Bounce" music disc. In Bedrock Edition, Minecraft:woodland mansions can generate in sulfur caves, similar to other cave biomes, although this is nearly impossible.
With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, sulfur caves use warmish color grading, which tints the biome to look more humid and warm. They use a strong, dense Minecraft:volumetric fog, however, this is only visible on the surface with directional lighting.
