A dragon (Draconis rex) is a dangerous race of monster with wings and the ability to use a fiery breath attack.

After being cursed by Template:RSL to guard her most powerful artefact, a creed of Dragonkin known as the Dactyl wished to create a race that would be similar to them, but without suffering the Curse's effects. Template:RSL created the first known dragon using his own blood and the egg of a large aquatic lizard. Template:RSL soon created a similar, but weaker dragon. The two bred and created the dragons as we know them today.

In Dragonwilds:Ashenfall, the Dragonwilds:Cabal had used and created dragons and other draconic creatures in their experimentations. Most of the dragons they created were enslaved.

In Template:RSL and Template:OSL, a race known as Template:RSL, commonly known as Dragon Riders are known to be capable of taming dragons and riding them due to a natural ability that allows them to connect to reptilian creatures.
In RuneScape black dragons have a category for those who are born with three or more heads, they are called Template:RSL, which what Kuldra could be due to having multiple heads.
The Dragons of Ashenfall have a unique ability to that allows them to use abilities outside of their fire breath.
