Template:Wip Template:Infobox location Sienna Dunes is the primary setting of Minecraft: The Dragon. It is a desert village with a flourishing economy.

Location

Template:Expand section Sienna Dunes is located in a desert. Roughly an hour's walk away from the village is a site called the Great Rift, a canyon with a half-exposed desert pyramid buried into the side. In another direction is a mountain with a cave that was the original home of the Ender dragon.

Architecture

Template:Expand section Sienna Dunes has a vibrant terracotta mining scene, and much of the town's infrastructure is built out of the material, including a wall, which is rebuilt multiple times over the course of the book. The village has other infrastructure, such as houses and a few farms. The town has one Minecraft:cow on a farm at the southern edge of the village.

History

Template:Spoiler warning Long ago, the mother of Minecraft:Zetta built an automated sugar cane farm, then left for a nearby mountain.

Later, a raid occurred on the village, destroying much of the east side of the wall. The town engaged in a small burst of mining to renovate the wall, as well as to add four watchtowers. A second raid was interrupted by the first public appearance of the Ender dragon, who destroyed the bell tower, the well, and much of the town hall.

Culture

Sienna Dunes is conservative and especially frowns on magic such as enchanting and potions. The village has a school, though the details of it are not known, and at one point an adult mentions their "shift" in the terracotta mine. The town is ruled by a mayor; as of the story's events, this role is given to Minecraft:Mayor Maxine.

The town hosts very frequent feasts and celebrations. There are feasts for weddings, birthdays, and holidays. One such holiday is the Eve of Hostile Mobs, featuring a parade with floats resembling Minecraft:mobs of all kinds.

Inhabitants
