Template:Distinguish Template:Infobox entity A baby strider jockey is the appearance of an adult Minecraft:strider being ridden by a Minecraft:baby strider. They have a chance to spawn when an adult strider naturally spawns in Minecraft:the Nether. When the baby strider matures, it does not dismount the lower strider.
Spawning
When spawning naturally, adult striders have a Template:Frac<ref group="note">Template:Frac after failing the Template:Frac chance to become a Minecraft:strider jockey instead.</ref> chance to spawn being ridden by a baby strider.
Baby strider jockeys also have a chance to spawn when using the strider Minecraft:spawn egg.
Behavior
Like striders themselves, baby strider jockeys are passive to Minecraft:players and other Minecraft:mobs.
The top strider inherits the warmth of the bottom strider. This means that when the bottom strider is standing in Minecraft:lava and becomes warm, the top strider is also warm.
The baby strider can be fed and will eventually grow into an adult. When it becomes an adult, it does not dismount the lower strider. The top strider can be fed and ridden like normal. When the top strider is Minecraft:saddled and ridden, the player sits on it and creates a stack of 3 entities: the bottom strider being ridden by the top strider being ridden by the player. The player cannot direct the stack of striders while riding the topmost one and using a Minecraft:warped fungus on a stick.
