Trivia

  • The Minecraft:warden is the only fully hostile monster (as skeleton horses are passive when not mounted) that spawns naturally that does not count towards the Monster Hunter advancement or Monsters Hunted challenge.
    • The reason for this is because the warden is not intended to be slain, and is instead meant to be evaded.
  • Polar bears were once classified as monsters valid for advancements. This property was removed in snapshot 19w14a.
  • Striders are internally referred to as monsters,<ref>Template:Cd</ref> however this does not affect gameplay, as the strider does not share the same traits as actual in-game monsters, being considered an Minecraft:animal instead.
