Journal

The following text is transcribed from the Journal.

Blacksmiths everywhere favour iron as a material to forge with. It is strong, durable and malleable when hot, and yet rigid when cool. It has been used to create weapons and unbreakable containers. Yet, it is most popular when turned into protection for those forced to ride into battle.

During the third age, the blacksmiths travelling with the Dragonwilds:Saradominist priests brought the technique of iron to the people of Dragonwilds:Ashenfall. Previously relying on leather, bone and more easily extracted metals, the introduction of iron brought great change to the village's way of life.

They crafted more robust tools, mightier weapons and armour that practically erased the natural fear of heading into the woods. Only the Wild Knights opposed this new material, fearing its sudden popularity would impact the continent's ecosystem.
