Dragonwilds:Saradomin

From SAS Gaming Wiki

Template:External Template:Infobox NPC Saradomin, also known as the Lord of Light, is the god of order, and one of the deities of Dragonwilds:Gielinor. Once a human justiciar on the world of Teregard, he ascended after prolonged exposure an elder artifacts, known as the Locator, also called the Elder Crown. Though he is largely benevolent and wants what he believes is best for humanity, which has prospered greatly across the universe as a result of his influence, his temper has historically led him to commit acts of warmongering and violence that he now regrets. He is traditionally aligned against Dragonwilds:Zamorak, with followers of each of the gods coming into conflict often.Template:CiteJournal

The Dragonwilds:Knights of Saradomin are a historical group of Saradominists responsible for peacekeeping and conflict resolution. Within Dragonwilds:Ashenfall, they were generally known as "Paladins", as referenced by the Dragonwilds:Paladin's Helm and other pieces of their armour.Template:CiteJournal

Paladins are chosen from the "noble" families of Brynmoor. This title is not hereditary, but is instead granted by the Saradominist priesthood to families based on their loyalty and obedience to the church. Typically, the second, third, and fourth children of these families are inducted into the order. Serving as a Paladin grants the warrior and their family great status and favour within Saradominist society. However, their position as guardians of the faith also earns them the ire of those who follow other gods. The Paladins act as a righteous force, tasked with bringing order and discipline, according to the teachings of their priests. They were notably responsible for reshaping the village of Bramblemead to conform to the church's designs.Template:CiteJournal Their activities often bring them into conflict with other groups, such as Guthixian-aligned knights.Template:CiteJournal
