Dragonwilds:Dragonblight Shield

Template:Infobox Item The Dragonblight Shield is a Dragonwilds:Power level 4 Shield, obtained when a Dragonwilds:Dragon Visage is added to an Dragonwilds:Anti-dragon shield at a Dragonwilds:Smithing Anvil after defeating Dragonwilds:Velgar, in the quest Dragonwilds:Dragon Slayer. Repairing the shield costs one draconic visage on the smithing anvil.

The shield has the special effect of applying Dragonwilds:poison to enemies when successfully parrying an attack.

The following text is transcribed from the Journal.

Strange magics have transformed the head of a tyrant into a mystical adornment to this powerful shield. It is still strong, still durable and resists the fury of dragons, but now the shield seethes with Dragonwilds:Velgar's wrath.

The magic of the shield is twisted into a bitter poison. One that yearns to strike and rage against any in its path. In battle, it's possible to turn this poison on one's enemies, afflicting them with a dragon's hate.

Sometimes, in the dark, when the night is silent, it's as if the shield whispers angry curses into the darkness. As if the last vestiges of Velgar's fury are carried on the wind as hateful poison.

Trivia

• While the shield shares the same method of creation as a Dragonfire shield, this shield only has one similarity to the dragonfire shield, that being the ability to use the energy it has stored against a target, according to the lore journal.
  • The shield's ability of inflicting poison on an enemy is similar to the Serpentine helm.
• The design of the shield closely resembles that of the Ancient wyvern shield and the Dragonfire ward.
