Minecoins are the digital in-game currency used to make purchases in the Minecraft:Marketplace and Minecraft:Character Creator platforms. It is also shared with the Marketplace in Minecraft Legends.
File:MCoin.png Minecoins are depicted as a yellow coin with an M in the middle which most of all Bedrock platforms uses. Meanwhile, File:Token.png Tokens are light, matte blue and have a large T in the middle that only PlayStation consoles use.
Obtaining
Minecoins are acquired via in-app purchases using the player's local currency, physical or digital redemption cards purchased from retailers, the Microsoft Rewards program, or directly from Minecraft.net, while Tokens are acquired via in-app purchases using the player's local currency and physical or digital redemption cards purchased from retailers. However, Minecoins cannot be converted into Tokens and vice-versa.<ref>Template:Citation</ref>
It can also be bought inside the Minecraft Legends Marketplace and the in-game currency syncs in Bedrock Edition as well.
As of Launcher 3.18.26, Minecoins can now be purchased directly from the Minecraft Launcher.

Redemption reward
In the Microsoft Rewards program, 2500 Rewards points or 2,000 points (for level two members) can be redeemed for a File:MCoin.png 330 Minecoins code.
Usage
Minecoins are used to purchase content from the Marketplace, such as worlds, Minecraft:skin packs, Minecraft:add-ons, texture packs, Minecraft:mash-up packs, as well as character parts and Minecraft:emotes inside the Minecraft:Character Creator.
Minecoins can be also used in Minecraft Legends to buy skins and textures, Lost Legends, and Myths.
Cross-buy currency
Since Bedrock Edition and Minecraft Legends uses the same currency and shared similar infrastructure (using the Bedrock Edition Marketplace), they can be used in both games. This means one can get Minecoins from the former and spend it on the latter (and vice-versa), as long as they use the same Microsoft account for both games. However, the contents from one game does not carry to the other.
