Template:For Template:Exclusive
Splitscreen is a console-exclusive feature that allows up to four players to play on one screen at the same time. It is supported on console versions of Template:El on local connections and Minecraft:Realms, but not on external Minecraft:servers, including the Minecraft:featured servers.
Gameplay
A player can join a running game in splitscreen by connecting another Minecraft:controller and pressing Template:Xbtn/Template:Nsbtn/Template:Psbtn/Template:Psbtn. The new player is then prompted to select a user profile in which their progress is saved. Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals is disabled on splitscreen and the game will switch to Fancy graphics.
There are two versions of splitscreen, "Horizontal Split Screen" and "Vertical Split Screen", both of which can be changed in the "Video" settings.
If "Multiplayer Game" is enabled in the Minecraft:world settings of the current world, active Xbox Game Pass, Nintendo Switch Online, or PlayStation Plus subscriptions for each user profile are required to join the game.
